Maximus Rose helps client eliminate $1m drug cost, saves on benefit premiums

Maximus Rose has assisted a client in overcoming an unsustainable financial challenge tied to escalating costs within the client’s benefits program renewal.

Over the past three years, the program faced rising expenses due to an employee's dependent requiring a specialty drug. Maximus Rose was approached to protect the company’s benefits plan while ensuring the employee’s family continued receiving essential care.

Maximus Rose mobilized third-party programs, government support, and pharmaceutical partnerships. A specialty partner helped eliminate a $1m drug cost from the client’s plan, avoiding future costs projected to exceed $1.5m.

The intervention also secured $60,000 in immediate savings on benefit premiums for the first year. The $1m drug cost was entirely removed from the client’s drug expenses, now covered by third-party payors.

Chris Sanderson, vice president at Maximus Rose, stated, “Our priority is to ensure that our clients can offer strategic benefits solutions to their employees without compromising their financial stability.”

“With the second renewal fast approaching, we built sustainability into the program, securing another year of pricing reductions while maintaining comprehensive coverage,” he continued
