Benefits Alliance expands its national network with additions in advisory, retirement, and education sectors

Benefits Alliance has announced the addition of four firms, with Maximus Rose Living Benefits and Human Capital Benefits joining as member firms, and Common Wealth and Connex Health selected as preferred solutions providers.
Maximus Rose Living Benefits was confirmed as a new member firm. According to Benefits Alliance, the firm specialises in group benefits and retirement solutions.
Carolyne Eagan, president of Benefits Alliance, said Chris Sanderson and his team at Maximus Rose have been highly engaged as new members.
“The team brings a wealth of expertise to share,” she said, particularly in education and insights on managing mental health, wellness, and disability.
She added that their fresh, modern approach is already sparking engaging discussions within both virtual and in-person member meetings.
According to the announcement, Maximus Rose will gain access to a network of industry professionals, resources, and collaboration opportunities.
Human Capital Benefits has also joined as a member firm. Eagan said she had seen how active Chris Pryce was in the industry even before joining Benefits Alliance, noting his commitment to professional development and his advocacy on behalf of plan sponsors and members.
“Certainly, these areas are a clear fit for becoming a member of Benefits Alliance,” she said.
She added that Pryce has already participated in several conferences and is actively connecting and sharing with peer members. Eagan said she is pleased to welcome him and his team to the organization.
Chris Pryce, CEBS, said the key to their success will be learning from BA Principals about how they manage staff and operations to avoid repeating the same missteps.
Common Wealth has been appointed as a preferred solutions provider. According to the announcement, Common Wealth combines digital tools and service offerings to support group retirement planning for small and mid-sized employers.
Eagan said several members of the Group Retirement Committee had recommended Common Wealth as a preferred solutions provider, citing the smooth experience it offers advisors and their group clients during plan selection and onboarding.
“I can see the commitment and passion this organization has to helping move the needle in the space of retirement security for Canadians,” she said, adding that it aligns well with Benefits Alliance’s goals.
Benefits Alliance stated that the partnership will enable Common Wealth to engage with a broader network of advisors and share industry practices.
Connex Health has also been named a preferred solutions provider. Benefits Alliance stated that this addition aligns with its professional development efforts.
Members can access preferred rates for the Benefits and Private Healthcare Associate (BPHA) certificate program through the Benefits Alliance Learning Centre.
Denise Balch, president of Connex Health, said, “We are very excited about the opportunity for Benefits Alliance members to have access to the BPHA program, whether they are new to the industry or have been around for some time.”
The BPHA program offers up to 35 CE credits in all provinces except Quebec and includes access to webinars, events, blogs, and podcasts.
