CIBC Global Asset Management announces appointment of Mark Sack

CIBC Global Asset Management announces the appointment of Mark Sack, CIM, FCSI, as Vice-President, Institutional Business Development. He joins the firm as it continues to grow its institutional business and strengthen its ability to serve investors in Canada and internationally.

Mark works with pension plans, endowments, foundations and other institutional investors in Ontario, Western Canada and the Territories, helping them address portfolio risk, return objectives and evolving market conditions through the firm’s investment capabilities. His appointment reflects the firm’s continued focus on growth and commitment to delivering investment expertise and client service to institutional investors.

Mark brings more than 25 years of investment industry experience, having held senior sales and business development roles at Fidelity Investments, State Street Global Advisors and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. His experience spans traditional investments, alternatives and real assets.

Before entering the investment industry, Mark spent 15 years in senior fundraising and advancement roles with major healthcare and educational institutions, including the Rotman School of Management, and served as Associate Campaign Director for the Campaign for the University of Toronto. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, conducted nephrology research at the Banting Institute, and holds the CIM and FCSI designations. He also serves on the Executive and Discipline Committees of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
