This summit will gather leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies, alongside stakeholders in the care and delivery continuum, to explore the development of medical weight-management therapeutics.

The event promises a robust discussion on topics directly from the forefront of healthcare news.

The summit will feature a diverse range of panels and presentations, including an exploration of the emerging therapeutic landscape and a unique conversation titled ‘The Patient's Voice,’ focusing on patients' experiences with GLP-1+ therapy.

Additionally, ‘Obesity 101’ will be presented in collaboration with Intellihealth, featuring insights from Dr. Katherine Saunders. Care delivery discussions will involve representatives from Beth Israel Lahey Health, Weight Watchers, and Intellihealth.

The event will also highlight metabolic research developments through the lens of Dr. Louis J. Aronne from Weill Cornell Medical College. A panel featuring Prime Therapeutics will delve into issues surrounding coverage and access for obesity care.

Evan Seigerman, senior biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals analyst at BMO, emphasized the importance of addressing the development and delivery of obesity care.

“This summit is about having those discussions and sharing ideas and solutions from thought leaders and experts who can move the dial to meet challenges to deliver care for patients with obesity and metabolic disease,” said Seigerman.

BMO analysts, including Seigerman, will facilitate dialogues with key life sciences companies participating in the summit.

These companies include Altimmune, Amgen, Capital Rx, Corbus Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly & Co., Novo Nordisk, Intellihealth, Prime Therapeutics, Scholar Rock, Structure Therapeutics, Terns Pharmaceuticals, and Weight Watchers.
