TELUS improves access to mental health help

TELUS Health has unveiled ‘Total Mental Health,’ a solution aimed at providing employees with comprehensive access to mental health support.

The program encompasses a team of care professionals who curate personalized care journeys, offering unlimited mental health counseling, therapist-led iCBT programs, digital tools, assessments, and ongoing tracking and feedback. It leverages TELUS Health's technology and diverse network of counselors, delivering a one-stop app for mental health support accessible through employees' company health benefits.

Dr. Matthew Chow, chief mental health officer at TELUS Health, emphasized the significant benefits of workplace services like these. "Unlimited access to personalized support at any time in many different ways is the innovative approach we need to help employees who are struggling and feeling like their mental health is vulnerable," he says.

The rise of mental health challenges in workplaces across Canada has reached crisis levels, with recent research indicating that four out of five managers support at least one employee with a mental health issue, it says.
